OK all you techy gurus out there: my daughter's iPhone went into the drink this weekend. It does not react well to immersion. She's letting it rest in a bowl of rice and on the charger but it's not cooperating yet. Anyone out there have some words of advice?
The hitch here is that she is in south Asia for the next 15 months and that rather limits her options. Any help you all can offer will be greatly appreciated!

Try silica gel, it has worked for me after washing my phone. I keep a zip loc bag of it in my purse. It's the little packets that come in medicines, vitamins, and shoes.

Did she take it apart to put in the rice? This is what I did for my wife's after she took it into the shower with her. Had to leave it overnight but it worked.
