Yep - the Rangers turn.

Admittedly, there is a reason they have been in the playoffs so much recently. The lineup has been stacked as noted with several of the more recent seasons making the all-time season list here. Prove great hitting can carry a team far (some times WS aka Big Red Machine of 70s). But take a look at thei all-time pitching staff and you see why the Rangers have not been perennial contenders. Given a couple Hall of Famers here, but look at the season. Hitting has to carry the team with a tradition of sub-stellar pitching.

Nice to see Burroughs get a little love for '74...
