Continuing the series: for your reading pleasure - the Metropolitans of New York...

Maybe it's just me, but my first thought here -- <yawn>. Some good talent indeed, but the total lineup almost reminds me of an everyday team. Pitching is the strength though (Seaver/Koosman has some great years in NY and Gooden's '85 was one for the anals).

I'm not sure why, but I would loved to have seen Wally Backman on here...
