Just to be clear: the old Washington Senators are not part of this franchise. These guys started as the Expos - expansion team...

Given that: all-time season lineup for the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals. Uhmm... There's a reason for only two(2) playoff appearances and NO league series let alone World Series. Have you ever heard of the expression, "Just put a team on the field and play!" That's the Expos... So many stars/future hall of famers started with the Expos and then moved on.

It shows in the all-time lineup here. Now, there are some greats here: Raines, Dawson, Carter, Guerrero, Martinez... But this lineup wouldn't scare a lot of managers even today.

It won't take long for several Nationals to replace the Expos in this line-up. A bunch of good prospects in Montreal, but they were gone, for the most part, by the time they came to be thought of as potential HOF players.

Jayson Werth trumps Vlad IMO. after the year Werth had last year, especially

and Tyler Clippard should be in the running for the Relief part.

It was widely considered that they were a favorite to reach if not win the WS in 1994.

Yep... I do my best to forget '94 and '81 seasons. Strike seasons $uck!
