Well, we come to the final edition in this series. The long lived, Philadelphia Phillies...
Overall, I would say this was a pretty decent list. Catching has not been a strength throughout the franchise and it shows: Darren Dalton. No love for Bob Boone...
Modern guys have made their mark (Howard/Utley/Rollins/Lee/Doc). But it's nice to see the older guys (Magee/Ashburn/Klein). But, no matter the list: you mention the Phillies and one name gets mentioned above all: Michael Jack Schmidt. Apologies to Grover and Robin, both great and well deserving. Mike is the man (most baseball experts claim Schmidt as THE best 3B in baseball history).
Nice to see Lenny D get some love here. Talk about a full-bore, scrappy player...
