We had about 2 inches down here in Greenville, SC today. They say we could get a foot by Thursday morning. Just thought I would start a thread for everyone to post their totals when all is said and done. Hopefully, we all will still have power. Good luck and stay safe.

I'm going to be working out in it for most of the storm so I'll be able to give some pretty good information. We're getting hourly updates from the NWS right now and will continue through Thursday. Everybody stay safe and for those who don't HAVE to go out in it please enjoy the snow from home. For those who do, please drive safe.

Near downtown ATL we have about 1/2 inch of pure ice. It just keeps banging against the house. Expect to be indoors for a couple of days and hope the power doesn't go out for too long.

The governor of South Carolina has declared a state of emergency, there is a winter storm warning, schools are closed, temps to stay at or below 28F, 6-10 inches of snow predicted with maybe 1/2" of ice. At 9:00 AM it appears that yesterday's accumulation may have melted a bit overnight despite the low temps; go figure. Radar indicates that I should be seeing a blizzard outside right now but so far, nothing.
The high country has nothing. Nada. Zip.

Update: about 9:30 the snow started, the wind picked up, and the roads were white in less than 30 minutes. We can complain about work and working conditions but it means I'm warm, fed, and comfortable which unfortunately cannot be said of a lot of folks. Very thankful...

Buford, GA , at the northern edge of Gwinnett county, we've gotten about 3 to 4 inches total so far in two days. Yesterday's inch or so mostly had melted away but more came in the morning and now we're back to being covered up again. With the icing that's expected, I'm just settling down for a relaxing couple of days aft home.

Nothing here in DC yet. We are expecting around 8 inches, supposed to be peaking around 2AM - 7 AM just in time for rush hour. It doesn't matter that I have years of experience in this stuff, point is the people up this way haven't. So, when I get up tommrow at 4AM and look out the window and see snow I'm going to jump head first back into bed. Not going to deal with it.
