I've got world cup fever bad right now. Figured it would be cool to have a thread for it. If you watch the US games or any of the other ones, post thoughts here!
I Believe That We Will Win!

All I really want is for the USMNT to beat Ghana. Anything more than that is gravy for me.
My rooting hierarchy is always:
USA
Netherlands
Germany
And I root for England to implode lol

My Top teams:
USA
England
Spain
Uruguay
Belgium
Netherlands
(Most of my choices come from the fact that I am a Liverpool fan: England obviously; Spain - Torres and Reina; Uruguay - Suarez and Coates; Belgium - Mignolet; Netherlands - Dirk Kuyt)
I think the dark horse this year is Belgium. They have a ton of great players who are just under many people's radar: Courtois (Atletico) and Mignolet (Liverpool) in Goal, and Vermaelon (Ars) Kompany (Man City) Vertyonghen (Tot) Fellaini (Man U) Dembele (Tot) LuKaku and Hazard (Chelsea) and Mirallas (Everton).

Germany

The Biggest Question: How soon will J. Klinsmann regret leaving Landon Donovan at home?

I personally would have brought him with me if I was the coach. It wouldn't have thought twice. However, the story of Landon staying home got blown WAY out or proportion. I definitely understand why has wasn't selected as compared to the 23 that were from a tactical perspective. This squad minus Donovan is still much better than 2010 with Donovan.

1. 'Murica
2. Who cares? 'MURICA!
For those of you listing more than one team to pull for, I will take the same approach that some App fans do when you tell them you pull for another team in addition to App - label you a treasonous deserter who is responsible for holding the home team back.

It took less than 30 seconds to send a message. Hope we can keep it up, and not move back into a defensive formation.

For those who don't know, Clint Dempsey is a Furman alum who is married to an App State alum from Boone.

What a finish and a great win over a very good Ghana side! Will be awesome if we can pull out a win over Portugal and sew up the 2nd spot out of our group.

We now advance with a tie vs. Portugal and loss of two or less vs. Germany I believe, but yeah let's just beat Portugal.
