Casey Kasem died earlier today at age 82 after several years of declining health and disputes over his care between his second wife and his children. What a terrible Father's Day memory for his children.
Gone is the magnificent voice and the walking-talking encyclopedia of the music of at least six generations--the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
RIP, Casey. In your time, you touched a lot of lives in a positive way. "...now don't forget: keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars."

I first heard of him when he was carried on Armed Forces Network. He was a great reminder of the USA when every other radio station was in German.

the last couple of months been reading the stories, basically, his family, have been hovering over him trying to position themselves to get their hands on his fortune. Its going to get ugly, they might be in court for years fighting for the table scraps.
