Went to the concert in Charlotte last night. Can't really describe how good it was. They sounded and looked great. Musical icons. long live Fleetwood Mac. Lots of memories from my time as a student at App.

Sounds like a great show. One of my favorite concert memories is from seeing the Fleetwood Mac Rumors tour during the Spring of 1977, my senior year in high school. Saw them in Greensboro and Fire Fall opened for them, back during the days of general admission tickets.

I was there. My sophomore year at App. Firefall was excellent that night and a great band.

I got tickets for Greensboro in a few days with the Mac.

I saw them in 88 without Lindsey in Chapel Hill. In 2004 without Christine McVie. In 2009 they cancelled Greensboro though that would have been without CM as well.

I have waited decades to see these 5 on stage at one time.

I saw Stevie Nicks back in 84 in Charlotte

I saw Lindsey in Durham solo and in Kernersville as a solo in the last decade when he had his quick release of solo albums. I got to shake his hand. I acted just like a teenage girl. And to be honest - I don't care.

I doubt they do it, but I would not mind a song from the pre White album line-up. I would also love to hear a lot of Tusk live. I think that is one of the top 5 albums in all of rock.

Was there as well last night. Great show! In my early 30's and I love that era of music...beats 95% of the crap released today. My girlfriend, in her mid 20's remarked at how many young fans were in the audience. FM has really stood the test of time.

We actually had the chance to spend a good bit of the afternoon with Mick Fleetwood, taking in sound check and such. What a great guy...full of hilarious stories. He even gave my lady a couple of his used drumheads. It really was an awesome evening full of classic tunes.

Hell of a show they put on last night in Charlotte. They sound awesome even after all these years. Started right out of the gate with "The Chain". Best concert I've been to and it's not even close.

....and Gregg Allman; Linda Ronstadt; Crosby, Stills, and Nash; Seals and Croft; Blood, Sweat, and Tears; Roy Buchanan; James Gang; Edgar Winter Group; Mountain, and many others I can't remember.

What is astounding (and granted this was early 70's) is that we got to see these acts for anywhere from $6-10 dollars, max.

Can't forget the Doobie Brothers!

Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel were great concerts back in the 70's

We had some good ones back in the day. My freshman year for homecoming we had Mothers Finest and the Dixie Dregs, and it was hosted by Bill Murray.

Always liked Fleetwood Mac. Saw them when I was in high school back in the late seventies.

Called "Rally Weekend" in my day. Thinking back, I do have significant memory loss for some reason ................ elevation I presume.

The late 80's were not as good for concerts compared to what you guys had before us. Did have Chicago (not my cup of tee) but we did get Jimmy Buffet! Great show (as usual), but I got to go to WASU when a friend was interviewing him. He was a bit of a douchebag, which was disappointing, but I'm pretty sure at that point he was still "sampling" some pirated goods. Eddie Brickel wasn't all that bad, Little Feet was awesome. Legends (H'Appys) had some great shows. Joan Jett was good, The Smithereens were surprising one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Saw Mother's Finest in a bar in Myrtle Beach (Murphy's) back in 76, they rocked the house down.

Cool to hear some of the great acts you guys got to see during your time at App. Didn't know legends use to be called HAppys, I like that a lot better than legends. I just recently graduated and I was pretty disappointed with the lack of quality musical acts during my time there. The fact that legends is the only venue in town really used for concerts leaves a lot to be desired, Boone could definitely use a true venue as I think many bands would be inclined to play in the High Country. And legends could also use a renovation and better acoustics.

The big names that used to come to Boone played Varsity Gym. I don't know if is still a feasible venue, but it wasn't a bad place to see a show. I saw Jimmy Buffett, The Bangles, The Hoodoo Gurus, The Romantics, Edie Brickell and probably some others that I don't remember there.

Can't remember the year but I saw Bob Dylan in Varsity Gym. Obviously, that was awesome.

Boone could definitely use a true venue as I think many bands would be inclined to play in the High Country

PB Scotts was undoubtedly the best music hall of our time, back in the late '70s and early '80's, and was a favorite destination many a Thursday night. Lots of really good regional bands, plus some awesome national acts. The venue was fantastic, with great acoustics, a rustic, mountain feel and musicians seemed to really seemed to enjoy playing there. It was basically a live music aficionado's dream. Some of my favorite memories from live music shows date back to PB Scott days. Top of the list for me were George Thorogood and the Destroyers, followed by many Dixie Dregs shows, and an Allman Brothers jazz fusion offshoot known as Sea Level, featuring Chuck Levell, Jaimoe and Lamar Williams. The Cats could rock! I count myself lucky to have been in Boone during the golden era - the late '70s and early '80's.

Didn't PB Scotts have a sign that said "Welcome to Blowing Rock, Turn Your Clocks Back" because of some drinking laws or something. I don't remember the details.
