Free Anti-Virus downloads

Unread post by NewApp » Mon Mar 30, 2015 8:28 am

Does anyone recommend any particular free anti-virus programs? I'm thinking about ESET, AVAST, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Windows Defender.
I would like one which automatically scans and updates, but which allows a manual scan and update whenever I want to.
I was using the free version of Commodo, but it will no longer allow a Full Scan, only the Quick Scan.

Paid I like eset. Avg is good for free use.
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.

Second for Microsoft Security Essentials. I believe it is actually built into Win 8. Pair it with regular scans with malwarebytes.
