I never posted the follow-up thanks for the auto mechanic advice from earlier in the fall.
My daughter ended up taking her car to Alray Tire and Auto on 105. Mostly due to recommendations on here but it was very convenient from her apartment.
They were willing to communicate with me via email to get me an estimate on the price, and this was very reasonable versus what it would take me to do the work.
My daughter told me they were VERY courteous to her while she waited for the repair.
And for what it was worth, they won the tailgate of the week at KBS a few weeks ago.
For those that suggested Alray (not that the others may not have been just as good.) thanks. For anyone looking for a auto mechanic for a student in Boone I would have to recommend Alray as well.
