Since doing some updating to Microsoft or whatever, I can't get folder headings to popup for sections, so I have no way to see what folder I'm posting to nor reading from. There doesn't seem to be room at the top because of my yahoo header. Any suggestions would be helpful. I've tried everything in addition to my computer techie guy.
This has caused me to be posting or reading from sections which I have no way of knowing I'm in. I'm in like the Political Forum the other day.

Can you send a screen shot so we can see what you are seeing?NewApp wrote:Since doing some updating to Microsoft or whatever, I can't get folder headings to popup for sections, so I have no way to see what folder I'm posting to nor reading from. Woops. I have no idea how to send a screenshot, however, I know how to take one, but not how to send one on here. The only way I know to send one, is when I post to Facebook.

Re: Moderators
Try this:
Take the screen shot and copy it. Then click on my username in the post above yours. That will open a page where you will see the option to E-mail appst89. Click on that option and paste the screen shot into the e-mail.

FireFox. I have IE but it has a Yahoo popup that I can't seem to get rid of with any consistently.CVAPP wrote:Press the Print Screen button. Also, what browser are you using?
I'm just so computer illiterate that everything is a challenge tech wise.

Re: Moderators
You should probably try Chrome. I use that and FireFox, but I almost always view this website using Chrome. That goes back to the days when I had to use an ad blocking extension. Your problem could be related to any number of different things. Your browser, malware, caching, or even a firewall/security setting. Installing Chrome should not hurt anything and it's arguably the best browser available.

Thanks for the advice, CV, I already have Chrome, but I never use it. It's there just for my 10 year old as that is what they use at school and he is accustomed to it. I'll, start using it some. I have a good malware program already. This problem just started in that past few weeks.
Thanks again. I'll try Chrome.

Re: Moderators
I am now getting some type of "blue screen of death" occasionally. It even comes with a voice telling me to call some number to get things removed from my laptop. I've not done anything and am not seeing any issues (anti-virus is installed and working) but was wondering if anyone else is encountering this. I'm using Windows 10 Edge now and haven't tried it with Firefox yet.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I have gotten that today, or something similar, on a laptop with Win 10 and Chrome and also on a Android phone.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Use Chrome. Firefox is probably fine, but Chrome is arguably better.scatman77 wrote:I am now getting some type of "blue screen of death" occasionally. Re: Moderators
I am glad I am not because I am running W10 and Chrome on my laptop...no problems yet. My phone's stock Android browser is nearly worthless, but it's old. I use Chrome on my Android and it's a lot better. The real problem is the garbage ads every site wants to display on your device every time you visit their site. I can't blame them for needing or wanting revenue, but too much is too much.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:I have gotten that today, or something similar, on a laptop with Win 10 and Chrome and also on a Android phone.
