Just wanted to post the sad news that Coach Lou Presutti, founder of Cooperstown Dreams Park passed away last night. For those who don't know CDP is the ultimate destination for 12 and under ball players. There are 104 teams each week for 12 weeks each summer. My two boys had the honor of playing there a few weeks ago. This place is amazing- those who have gone with their sons or daughters understand. The man had a vision and built an incredible place. Bryce Harper played there as a kid. I'm 52 and felt like a kid for a week. Baseball heaven.

I never felt closer or more interested in baseball than the week my son played there. Coach Lou did a fantastic job of bringing forth his vision.

I was fortunate enough to be near the Cooperstown Dream Park a few years ago and took in an evening of ball. It was one of the neatest experiences as a fan of the game, next to the Cape Cod League, as you can get. As was stated above they have 104 teams from around the country and they get all of the games in. A couple of years ago they had a rain delay of some 3 hours which backed up the play. They ended up playing all night and ended the day around 5 am. and then started back up at 8.

We were fortunate to have no rain issues but it was about 45 the Sunday we were there. My two boys had an incredible experience and one hit a grand slam over the scoreboard. I truly love the game, have coached t-ball to travel ball and now I umpire. I would love to go back just to umpire games. The Hall of Fame and the town are really something to see. Coach will be missed. It really is a Dream Park.
