Man, Furman, Elon, Samford, and UNC-G are kicking our fannies in per sport points.

As much as we moan and groan about the SoCon being taken over by the small privates the truth of the matter is that they have been taken care of business this year, and for the last few on average better than the public schools have. We have been winning the Commish Cup and not always just due to more sports, but the privates as a group I think have a better set of numbers than the publics as a group. Even more so on the women's side.

Too, I never figured out which larger public schools we could have added who may have expressed interest in joining the SoCon.

We are having a less than stellar year... even a bad year by our standards... but despite that, we have dominated the men's, women's, and all-sports trophies in the conference for decades. I think its pretty amazing, as bad a football year we are having, that a win this weekend against WCU places our football team in the top-half of the conference.

I realize we have been dominating the SoCon for decades, but we aren't yet this year. Maybe when Spring sports roll around things will change for the positive.
