Our ladies (2-17) were never in this home contest against a fine14-4 Coastal Carolina squad. They get another chance Sunday afternoon on the road at Coastal.

The difference between one season and the next has been hard to fathom. From being on the cusp of an NCAA bid, to a 16 match losing streak.

The inconsistencies of our VB program begs the question. I like Matt. It is it time for a change?

For those who don't go on Scout take a look at the Volleyball thread from there in the free section, especially the accidental conversation that David had with Matt after bumping into him after football practice one day last week. He was planning to talk to him anyway but it turned into more than he thought. It's the second post on the thread page I linked. I knew some things were bad but not this bad. I also linked the preseason interview he did. I know it's a long way past but it's an interesting listen as he talks about what we lost and what could be ahead for this season with the youth on the team. Scary prediction to where we are now.

They lost a lot from last year. An awful lot. Yeah, the record is down right abysmal right now, with some blow out losses, but we've come up just short on five set marathon matches several times, and I doubt it's that he forgot how to win those. Needs another year to show improvement.

Yeah, the injuries have been mind-boggling by how many they've been. There was another one this week.

It has turned into a nightmare season but it isn't because Matt has forgotten how to coach. This is likely his youngest team and there is plenty of talent. With maturity and good health, the future is bright. Sometimes you just run into the perfect storm.
