MBB win!

Baseball wins!

Softball sweeps a double header!

Wrestling seems to have a nice lead in the SoCon wrestling tournament!

5 out of 6 contests we won today.

Mten won yesterday! And slightly connected I was picking up on e daughter from Davidson and stayed for the MBB game. Davidson won over #18 Rhode island on a last second shot which helps the App mbb rpi.

Been covering the Wrestling on 247. App won the title. And we had three qualify for the NCAA's. Jr Irvin Enriquez at 141, Sr Forrest Przybysz at 174, and RS Fr Alan Clothier took 2nd with a loss to SoCon WOTY Bryce Carr from Chatt at 184 but with Carr being nationally ranked there were two bids and Clothier beat the 184 from Davidson to take stand alone 2nd place. We had 8 wrestlers in the finals from the 10 divisions and the other two were 3rd and 4th. Lowest place wrestler on the whole team was 4th.

And the good thing for the future is that many of our guys were either Fr, RS Fr, or So. Lots to look forward to.

Glad I did not wait until today to post this. Baseball goes 0-2 and MTen drops the match to Stetson. I did not bother to see the final score for MTEN but it was past the point of winning on live stats.

Still overall a winning record for the weekend and it is still Great to be a MOUNTAINEER!

It's not Mountaineers sports, but Lees-McRae Men's Basketball (aka Dunk Mountain) won the Conference Carolinas Tournament today and is going to the D2 Big Dance for the first time ever.

Mark Polsgrove, who was an App grad assistant and Director of Player Personnel last year, is one of the assistant coaches.

I have no problem with L-M having a winning program and being very successful. I would think the game attendance really would not impact either school regardless of either school's success, and I would think DI and DII would have very little overlap in recruitment.
