Slightly skewed by looking & counting stats in head & writing without a calculator, but seems to me, our winter Olympics since the time they decided to stagger them with Summer ones 2 years apart. Having Norway 94' 2 years after France 92' the competitive events took different look, as well as pro status athletes home & abroad being allowed to compete in "some" events. Suddenly our "great nation" won 47 holds of possible 273 from 94'-014, While previously was 49-796 first ever winter games until 92'. Like I said #'s may be off slightly, but can still see the discrepancy! Roll on Merica, Happy98- 100th Gold alltime yesterday!
