Looks like it will take about 10 flat to win the Conference . I think the competition might just push our man to do it.

The only issue here is do we want him to go for that or not, given he's been building up his football weight/strength so he's quite a bit heavier than the pure track guys. Plus the muscle groups he's been working on are different than track sprinters would work on. We do have sprinters, as seen yesterday in that our men's 4x100 relay won also. Just not sure we need Jalin to push that much to try and gain a few 10ths of speed and lose some of the work he's already put in (Dexter ran track also in his time here but he and Jalin are built a lot different. Dexter was never as thick, especially upper body, as Jalin is). We'll see how much he actually runs building up to the Belt Championships in just under a month.

Just so everyone knows 10.4 was the exact time he ran to win the GA state title. He's still as fast as he was when we recruited him. But he's added 15 or so lbs of muscle to be a better WR, mostly upper body to be a better blocker and stronger to get off jams at the line. He still has sub 4.3 40 speed.
