The WCU women's soccer squad, the '17 SoCon runners-up, are in town tonite for a 7 PM "friendly" with our Apps at the Mack. The very experienced Cantamounts (6 seniors and 12 juniors) will be seeing their first game action of the season. The Apps will be looking to bounce back from a 3-1 thumping dished out by E.Tenn (another highly experienced SoCon team} just three nights ago. The Apps last faced WCU in '16 pre-season exhibition play--dropping a hard-fought contest 1-0.
Just to keep it real, ETSU was voted to finish tied for fifth in the 2018 SoCon race. WCU picked up votes to finish fourth. The Apps are predicted to finish eighth in the Sun Belt poll released on Thursday. No Mountaineers were
named to the pre-season all-Sun Belt team.
Tonight's action will be the Apps' last tune-up before their non-conference season-opener at High Point next Friday evening.
