WSOC: Apps at Maryland 7PM Ludwig Field, College Park

Our Apps take to the road for a Friday night tussle with the Maryland Terps in College Park. The Apps "own" the Terps, so far, with a 1-0 record in the "short series." That 2015 season contest was won on the golden foot of Mountaineer forward Jane Cline, the 2015 Sun Belt Offensive P-O-Y, who broke open a tight 1-1 contest with a late blast from 20 yards out. Sadly for the Apps, Jane has long-since graduated.
On the other hand, Maryland isn't exactly noted for women's soccer. They're picked to finish 13th in the 14 team Big Ten. What they do have is the home pitch advantage and a senior keeper who was between the pipes in '15 when Cline's goal sailed well out of her reach. One might imagine that she hasn't forgotten that loss.
