Re: WSOC SBC Quarters
Nothing in the final write up on the App site and no posts about what happened during the game but from several tweets like the ones below I've been seeing it appears that Sr Emmily Cowie must have gotten injured. Some people from South Alabama soccer are also sending out "praying for a speedy recovery" posts as well.

Thoughts and prayers going out for Emmie Cowie's complete recovery.
Despite their relatively low and uncustomary seed (5th), USA (today's opponent for the Apps) probably has the strongest roster in the #Fun Belt other than #1 Tx State. USA has been getting acclimated to a new system under a new head coach, a Scotsman. As per usual, the Jags are still built around a core of skilled European players. Looks like the "new-look" USA may have arrived.
We may be in for a clash of cultures and soccer strategies in the tourney as #1 seed Tx State's 21-year veteran head coach goes with a roster that is 100%-Texan. That's certainly working for them so far this season.

Re: WSOC SBC Quarters
That seems totally out-of-character for Coach Strickland's teams and the way her players have been known to conduct themselves on and off the pitch.
According to the box score, the Apps were assessed two red cards and USA one yellow card--all coming midway of the 69th minute of play (68:31). Would like to see the video. All of the scoring was over at that point, but the players involved were two App defenders and a Jag forward. The incident must have occurred in the box near the App goal-front. Our team was obviously absorbing a sound beating and our players would have been extremely disappointed for their season to be ending in such fashion, but this...? Taunting from the Jags may have turned up the heat.
