Ladies beat Texas State for the first time in program history going 1-1 for the day. The team projected to finish dead last in the conference currently holds down second place behind undefeated Louisiana. THIS is what program improvement looks like!
With 19 games left in the regular season, our softball team is just 5 wins short of 2013's (SoCon) 31 win season. When the last tax return goes out the door, I'll be at the softball field! See you there.

There are intangibles in play here. The women are playing with a “no respect” chip on their shoulders and now there is a confidence borne of winning. I don’t see them letting up.

Coach's family atmosphere has the team playing together and happy. 30 and counting.

May be coming up the mountain tomorrow. Question for those familiar with the stadium. Is there parking for handicapped? My Son has CP and will be with me if we make it.

Softball is on the road this weekend. However, baseball will be closing out its series with Georgia Southern on Sunday. Game starts at 12.
I believe there is handicapped parking at both the baseball and softball stadiums, but maybe someone else can confirm this.

From the outside looking in, it looks like Coach Hoerner is both tough and fair in her expectations of the players on and off the field. The team is constantly doing community service together. She has truly made a difference in the program taking it from "We have a softball team????" to "We have a SOFTBALL TEAM!!!!"
The team knows it can win now ... so they do. I must admit that I'm quickly becoming as much of a softball fan as I am field hockey and women's basketball.

There are 2 maybe 3 handicap spaces at the start of walkway to stadium. I have dropped wife there and gone to tennis courts to park if spaces are full.

I was hoping for a 1pm start tomorrow, but the schedule on App State Sports says it starts at 10am (Link below). Cannot make those Sunday morning games.
