MSOC: Apps 4, Lincoln Memorial 0 (Exhibition)

Unread post by asu66 » Sat Aug 17, 2019 12:13 pm

Our Apps took the field yesterday for their first exhibition match of the '19 season with 21 returning players and eight newcomers. After 90 minutes against a strong D-II Lincoln Memorial team, the homestanding Apps jogged back to their fieldhouse at Ted Mack with a 4-0 shutout. In his postgame remarks, Coach O'Keefe indicated that he played every man on the roster who was medically able to play. Several guys are nursung injuries after two weeks of conditioning and spirited competition for positions. listen to Coach's comments below. Be forewarned that he tends to be low key in his appraisals--but he's sitting pretty with a quick, fast, physically-strong, tall and aggressive roster of players. Oops, did I mention that this is quite a yooung team? Some interesting matches are ahead with the strongest schedule in recent memory.

It starts with the Red Storm of St. John's of the Big East on Friday evening, August 30 at Ted Mack. Nice way to start the home season.

If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!
