Soccer: GATA at App State Noon Sunday Ted Mack

After a three-match road trip, App State women's soccer returns home on Sunday at 12 p.m. looking for a sweep against Georgia Southern at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex. App State was edged by Georgia State on Thursday, 1-0. All five shots attempts for the Mountaineers were on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net. Georgia State scored in the 25th minute on a penalty kick, handing the Apps their third conference loss by one goal.

App State took the series lead last month after defeating Georgia Southern in the first matchup in the 'Boro, 3-0, thanks to two goals and an assist by junior mid Mary Perkins.

This could be a grim three-hour ordeal for the iggles in a chilly mountain downpour (courtesy of Hurricane Delta).
