Now that we have a head coach for WSOC, the Volleyball selection should "be on the clock" for an announcement sometime soon. We need coaches on the recruiting trails 'cause the cupboard has significant empty spaces and is light on successful collegiate experience.

I would hope the new coach won't allow things like having current App State volleyball players wear Duke gear to an App State at Duke men's basketball game.

There goes my blood pressure alarm! I wonder if our interim head coach made the trip with "her" team and looked the other way rather than discussing team protocols in situations such as this? I wonder if our interim head coach is a candidate for the full-time, permanent position? I wonder a lot of things about this. Sounds as if we have some young ladies who should seriously consider hitting the transfer portal--sooner rather than later.

FWIW, it was one player. And that player had taken down their IG page where the offending image was posted.

If that was a non-scholy VB player I don't like it, but end with a "meh" with my feelings. If this was a VB player on scholly then I am NOT happy at all. Lots of people are taken on extra debt to fund athletics salaries and scholarships through athletic fees. If they are no more grateful than that then GTFO. If if they had family or SO connections to Duke then just show up without sporting Duke attire.

I'm willing to bet they are on scholarship based on context clues. VB is a head count sport, so they get a full ride. And the player in question blocked me on Twitter (honestly that's whatever), so I believe the issue has been brought up on some level.

Rant really over now. This is angering up the blood more than I need. Hopefully this has been addressed and lesson learned.
