The Lady Apps five game streak was ended by the Lady Dawgs of Samford earlier this afternoon. A heartbreaking loss it had to be for the Apps, as the score was locked at 1-1 into the 89th minute when Samford tapped in a rebound off the post for the win.

The Mountaineers (6-5-2, 3-1-2) are now in a battle with Davidson for 3rd place in the SoCon standings. Today's loss moves Samford into undisputed possession of 2nd place by percentage points.
