I know with us leaving the SoCon this is down on the list of import to us but interesting none the less. I wonder if we would have tried to pick up lacrosse quickly had we stayed?

It would be nice if ASU could find a way to add Women's Lacrosee to help with Title IX requirements rather than cutting men's sports.

Has it been announced that we were cutting specific sports? If so what are they?

Not to my knowledge and I am not privy to any inside information. My comment was strictly from thinking that it would be a nice way to satisfy Title IX needs. To many conversations these days are about eliminating programs to save money.

That is what I thought, just making sure.

I'm not convinced that we can add women's lacrosse and beef up men's basketball at the same time. Methinks basketball's dire needs have to come first. Not at all opposed to lacrosse; just sayin' that's another non-revenue sport for football to support. We need to jump-start men's basketball at least to the point that it can pay for itself before we add another "mouth to feed,"

The last thing we need to do is add another sport. I'd be in favor of replacing field hockey with lacrosse if we could join this group. Travel would be easier and there are more local kids playing lacrosse compared to FH. Of course I still believe we need to drop 2 sports. I guess we will have to see how the budget plays out after a few years in the Belt.
