Re: Ole Larson, still swimming
I had the pleasure of working out with Dr. Larson at Boone's Broyhill Wellness Center a few times last winter and spring as I was working on my cardiac rehab program. He was adept at all of the usual and customary gym machines; an absolute terror on rowing machines and could walk off and leave you on the indoor track unless you were prepared to go all out. This after multiple knee replacements and at least one open heart procedure.
I could match or beat him on everything except the rowing machines. He has those down pat. He's got tremendous upper body and leg strength for any age. At 92, he's amazing.
