Taylor Cimbalist is getting an ice bcket bath (for ALS) on a short video on the ASU Field Hockey Facebook page - and then pronounces the name of her (our) school wrong. She is from the Va Beach area based on the roster. One would think she would know the correct way.

How do we correct this situation without making the players not feel bad. Could this be a conspiracy from the very top. Most all the players and staff are from the northeast with only a few exceptions.

Shouldn't they feel bad for mispronouncing the name of the institution they represent? The phonetic breakdown is in our media guide. I imagine those ladies are intelligent so this shouldn't be that difficult.

I know it is force of habit on her part. As much as we carry on about this you would think something would have been mentioned to her.It does bother me on one level, but I also appreciate the irony of one of our own messing up that middle syllable.

Va Beach isn't even vaguely close to northeast Va! But methinks Taylor will never make the error again! Bet she's being teased about it this very minute.
