We came out flat last night, but still manage to generate numerous chances in the first half. We just could not finish. USC-Upstate scored a cheap goal on a set piece to take the 1-0 at half time. The Apps came out with a sense of urgency and intensified effort for the second half. Goal #1 came early in the half, off the run of play, with Stanley Broaden on the finish. Goal #2 soon followed when Mason McCarter was fouled in the box and Broaden buried the PK, lower 90. Keegan Tanaka later sealed the deal with a rocket from just outside the 18 for goal #3. It was good to get back into the Win column, before the Apps head to Durham for a "gut check" Tuesday night against the Dookies,
