Re: MSOC v. Duke
Actually being outshot 9-7...team totals and individual totals don't mesh. Live Stats has one Duke player with 21 shots on goal...not likely.
Still 1-0 in the 61st minute.

Re: MSOC v. Duke
We actually competed very well in this game, especially the final 30 minutes of the first half and beginning of second half. Duke's first goal was a pure fluke, a 35yd lofted ball that chipped the keeper. Duke player said he intended to cross the ball, but ball ended up going in goal. Later in first half, Duke defender had a clear handball in the box, but no call was made by the ACC Ref. Nice! We should have been awarded the PK and a chance to even the match. We came out strong in the second half and controlled play until we went down a man after Japp was awarded a second yellow. We fought until the very end and certainly showed that the Apps can play with Duke, at least on this given night. Duke is big, and technically solid, but we more than held our own. I understand they were missing their best player due to injury, a midfielder who is reportedly projected as a top 5 pick in the MLS draft. Still, it's hard for me to believe they beat Carolina, and I won't be surprised if they lose to Davidson.
