The guy allowed himself to get into the position of having only two returning players with any appreciable game experience--outside hitter Meghan Forshey and libero Courtney Rhein. Then, for some reason, Forshey passed up the opportunity to play her senior season, although she remains a student at ASU. He found himself playing a lineup of outside hitters and middle blockers who are true freshmen or returnees with only "mop up" collegiate experience. The result is UGLY so far. A collegiate team with only one returning starter is at risk--as Ginipro is now learning. He has not done the job of building a program with the opportunity of reloading each year. This season, he's starting over.
