Our Mountaineers continue their four-match road trip this afternoon in Troy, AL when they face the #2 team in the Sun Belt--the Troy Trojans (10-3, 3-1 Sun Belt). Game time is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
The first meeting between Troy and App State was last year with the Mountaineers earning a 3-2 victory in double overtime.
The Apps are presently in a three-way tie with GaSouth and GaState for fourth place in the league. They can help themselves a great deal with an upset of Troy this afternoon. Troy is the other team, that along with South Alabama, appears to be the class of the league.
Our team (6-4-3, 2-1-1 Sun Belt) has outscored Sun Belt opponents 8-5 in just four games. They'll need to score some goals this afternoon to hang with a much improved Troy squad.
