MSOC: O'Keefe's intro to ASU Soccer...*Sigh*

Unread post by asu66 » Tue Aug 16, 2016 9:09 pm

Irish Jason O'Keefe and his clan of Mountaineers took on a familiar foe and got a typical result tonight at the Ted Mack. The Apps had to settle for a scoreless draw in exhibition play against former conference mate Wofford (a so-so team at best). Lack of offense has been a dyed-in-the-wool characteristic of Appalachian teams for 15 of the last 20 years. There lies one of O'Keefe's early and most significant challenges--finding a few guys who can team to put the ball in the back of the net. He's only just begun, so *patience* will need to be the battlecry.

Proud triple-degree App grad--Classes of '66, '70 and '81.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

He's got a tough row to hoe. Patience is definitely in order.

Met him at the Yosef Club spring tour. Nice guy, seemed eager to meet fans... even gave us his drink tickets, which means he's OK in my book.

His name's Jason, BTW.
