Ginipro is believed by most observers to be in a rebuilding year...having lost a four-year team core of highly talented, record-breaking outside hitters and a solid-gold setter. I mean, how do you replace Jess Keller, Emily Corrigan and Paige Brown? Well, after taking Va Tech to five sets, the Apps hit 3-0 shut-outs over Norfolk State and Siena--all of this on the road to open the season.

Ginipro may have just reloaded his team with a mix of experienced transfers and solid freshmen. Be on the lookout for strong performances from New Mexico State transfer setter Ashlyn Brown and true freshman outside hitter Emma Longley. These two young women are already making noise.

Watched some of the V. Tech vs. App game. They were close to closing out V.Tech 3-1 if I'm remembering correctly. One or two balls go the other way and we would have. Should be pretty solid in SunBelt play. Watch Coastal against Miami some, too and in the little bit that I watched, Coastal looked pretty solid too.
