Who do we have that’s been injured who should or could be healed for this game? I know it doesn’t make a huge difference but what was Upshaw’s injury? Sorry can’t recall. Would have been great for him to get to play. Even just a carry.
Upshaw had a torn bicep or tricep and is out for good.
I'm curious why he wasn't recognized with the other Seniors on Saturday?

Yeah knew it was season and career ending with him being a senior. Was just curious as he would have had a good many weeks to recover. No idea about surgery/recovery. Did he stay in school to finish?

It seems like I remember one of the guys on the TV telecast say something about a hamstring -

Will we be the only college football game on that night? If so, that'll be great exposure assuming we play well which I expect we will since we'll have 3 weeks to continue healing up our wounded players.
Also, although I'm not going to be able to go due to the timing with family Christmas celebrations, I'm still going to buy tickets as if we are going to support the team.
Yes, but Packers-Vikings will be on NBC at 8:30, so that will eat up most of the football viewing audience during the 2nd half of our game. Still a little better TV slot than the earlier games though, IMO.

Williams went down pretty early against GState , walked off the field holding his mid-section. I wondered about a rib injury.

I like that he isn't much of a runner. But we have to get pressure and without Sims that has been lacking a little.

Toledo looks like a good team again this year. We will have to bring our best effort of the year for this one. They looked great Saturday and hope we are peaking now. This should be a good game. Also, after much begging and pleading with the wife, she is good to go with my son and I going on this road trip. Merry Christmas to me! Go APPS!!

He is a good QB but we don't struggle with good passers. We struggle with mobile QBs which he isn't. I agree with you. We will be fine

Not sure about that. Woodside had a good game against us last year, albeit not disastrously so. We struggled plenty with Kaaya and the Akron QB last year and Keane from CCU this year, all of whom were pocket passers. And we've stopped our share of mobile QBs (including ULL's Saturday).

So many factors can sway stats for either person. How long were they left in the game during blow outs, who did they play, how many receiver drops. On paper it does appear we will be ok, but he and their team as a whole are pretty solid. I would say best G5 competition since moving up. I still like us to win :D

Wonder how we would compare to Ohio? They ran all over Toledo. Almost 400 rushing yards, Ohio turned it over 3 times (Toledo 2 times) and still won by 28.

Really the only guy they lost off of last years team was Kareem Hunt who is now playing with the Chiefs - I think we held him to about 120 yards ---

I think we're better than Ohio, but it's fair to say that game wasn't representative of Toledo's season. Kind of like asking how Toledo would compare with UMass.

True. Though I think UMass is a good team, but believe injuries were big for us on that game and I don't know Toledo's injuries during the year or currently.

Don't forget that huge TE they lost. He was a beast.
