Fan HQ, unfortunately not at The Alchemy
Looks like a decision finally made on where Apps fans are supposed to gather, and although my Mobile friends and business associates had thought The Alchemy would be a great fit (Oklahoma State used it when playing USA), the powers that be have decided different place.
From our Bowl Central: Gathering at Fan Headquarters, after pep rally - T.P. Crockmiers, 250 Dauphin St.
I have not been there but I understand it's a large space, and maybe that's why it was chosen, in spite of suggestions to Athletics and Alumni Association that several other places were better choices. heard the food was very bad, and the drink selection was better at other locations. In fact, my Mobile friends said it was not a place they would want App Fans to think represented Mobile. I'll stop in but I'm still suggesting our Cabineers gravitate to Alchemy.

Have your Mobile friends said anything about Serda Brewery? We will probably check out Alchemy as well as "official" bar.

Re: Fan HQ, unfortunately not at The Alchemy
I'm a "brewery guy" myself so I've already made plans for the lady & I to check out Serda. It looks to be a bit off the beaten path of the parade, pep rally, etc. so the plan for us is to swing by Friday afternoon and do a little pre-gaming at Serda before heading towards the action. It looks to be a fairly young/small brewery and according to their website only had 4 brews on tap, though they may have some other AL craft, or at least that is my hope. We shall see.JustBeYosef wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2017 11:00 pmHave your Mobile friends said anything about Serda Brewery? We will probably check out Alchemy as well as "official" bar.

TP Crocmiers is just fine. Very spacious and has a large balcony overlooking Dauphin Street. It's right in the middle of the entertainment district and easy walking from all downtown hotels. If you don't like it, Alchemy, Loda Bier Garten (tons of craft beers on tap) and other bars are just steps away.

Serda's just opened so I can't review but have heard good things. It's about a 10 minute easy/safe walk straight down Dauphin Street from team hotel.
It's a good bit down from the parade route/pep rally so I wouldn't necessarily make it a "meet up" spot Friday night but definitely an easy place to visit. I'd go for a beer or two but would spend majority of my time on Dauphin Street bar hopping between TP Croc, Loda Bier Garten, Alchemy, Pat's, Haberdasher, Hero's and Boo Radleys. There's an 18+ concert at Soul Kitchen (across street from TPC) Muscadine Bloodline - hear they're pretty good
Note there's a Serdas Coffee next to team hotel - this is not the brewery. The brewery is on Government Street behind Wintzells Oyster. Two different places same owner

Alchemy is just down the street from TP Crockmeir so let’s plan for a migratory transition from Crockmeir to Alchemy about 9:00.
GO APPS!

Yes you guys definitely outnumber Toledo fans 3-1. Kind of disappointed in Toledo’s turnout rumored to be around 500

It was a LONG drive from NC... I can only imagine how awful the ride from OH would have been!Rocket_Fanatic wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2017 11:09 pmYes you guys definitely outnumber Toledo fans 3-1. Kind of disappointed in Toledo’s turnout rumored to be around 500
