Military Bowl
I’m watching the Military Bowl. Navy is embarrassing Virginia. The announcers just said Navy has more touchdowns than Virginia has first downs. Virginia football has really dropped off.

Re: Military Bowl
Interested to hear why you think that. It seems that he has UVa moving in the right direction.

Re: Military Bowl
So far ACC is having a poor showing. Only wins are against MACaction and CUSA.
After a banner bowl season last year, things are not looking to good.

Re: Military Bowl
I think you mean George Welsh not Bill Walsh. I think he coached somewhere else lol.
In 1986 a buddy and I trekked up to watch App pull out a thrilling last second victory 21-20 over James Madison. Great victory that led to a 9 win season led by John Settle. Thrilled with our victory, we then headed over to Charlottesville to watch UVA take on Penn State their biggest game ever in Charlottesville. The game had been sold out for months. Ever resourceful Mountaineers that we were, we gave the student ticket-taker a five dollar bill instead of a ticket and waltzed into the game (you know those UVA Honor Code students). UVA got white washed by Penn State.

Re: Military Bowl
UVA has some decent teams under Groh in the 2000s. But Mike London left them in pretty bad shape. TBD whether Mendenhall will turn out to be a good hire. He’s improved them somewhat but still has a long way to go.

Re: Military Bowl
Finished the season losing 6 of 7 and have graduated their record setting QB and their two best defenders. He's not recruiting very well in the commonwealth and not convinced he will ever beat Tech.

Re: Military Bowl
Seems like they are a lock at little brother to Tech for a while. With all the in state committed games, they just need to make sure to stay ahead of ODU, Liberty, JMU ...
