Sportscasters at Miami-Wisconsin game.

Unread post by McLeansvilleAppFan » Sat Dec 30, 2017 8:11 pm

I was watching the pregame for the Miami-Wisconsin game and they mention not once, but twice, one player was majoring in physics and astrology. Uggh. How much are these idiots being paid as the sportscasters?

Did McShay say Astrology? I wasn’t paying much attention to it. Griese said trying to make a joke to Levy.

I thought I heard "astrology" then dismissed it as old ears not paying attention. It reminds me of the announcers in 2009 that said Armanti was majoring in "imaginary technology" instead of imaging technology.

Yes, McShay. I rewound the DVR to make sure I heard what I thought I heard.

I did not notice the joking in Griese, but I might have missed his tone at that point.

I heard it too. I'm a Scorpio. Considering coming back to Appalachian to get my Astrological Doctorate.

Mark Richt just grabbed an official by the arm and was not penalized or “ejected”. While watching the Northwestern/Kentucky game yesterday (yes I’m on a college football binge of bowl games) the star RB for Kentucky was automatically ejected by an official for putting his hands on him. Is that just a rule for players on the field??

He was flagged. But my God I've never seen Richt lose it like that.

I saw that yesterday as well. The Ref probably should have blown his nose with the flag instead of throwing it. Unless the RB said something along with pushing his hands away.

Richts' actions were 10 fold to that of Kentucky player towards red. Double standard, No doubt.

Miami was penalized.
Ahh just saw the replay and see the flag. But still begs the question on why just the flag and not ejection. Nothing against Richt as I think he’s actually a great coach but just the consistency is a head scratcher. I thought this scenario was way more evident than the NW/KY game incident.

He should have been ejected, according to the rule.

The ref from the Kentucky game said the RB didn't say anything. Ref said the ejection was purely for the player putting his hands on him, which the ref initiated IMO.

Thanks T-Dog. I didn’t see any explanation given by the Ref so I was merely speculating. I am with you. The Ref initiated the contact. Regardless of how the RB reacted, he shouldn’t have flagged him. Let alone eject him.

IMO, Snell should have been allowed to stay in the game, and the ref should not have tried to "help" him up. As I watched it in real time and on replay, I don't believe he violated the rule. Richt's grabbing of the ref's arm seemed to me to be a direct violation of the rule which should have meant an ejection.

Looks like even a home game wasn't enough for Miami to pull off the win.

On a different note, did y'all notice that John Settle looks like he could still tote the rock. ;)
