Re: MBB App State @ Texas State
Neither team made a FG in the final four minutes of the game.
Right now App is 5-7. Texas State is 4th at 7-5. And we have tiebreaker over them.
The last six games are winnable.

This was a crucial win but we haven't come out of these and played well next time out. We play teams the rest of the way that we can beat. Now is the time to put it together and get off this roller coaster.

On the one hand, obviously I'd like to win as many games and finish as high as possible. On the other, I'm not sure the 6th seed wouldn't be a better spot than the 4th. I think it might be worth having to play an extra game in exchange for not being on UL's side of the bracket.

Shot 50 percent from the line in the waning minutes of the game just to make it interesting.....

Re: MBB App State @ Texas State
Georgia Southern's loss last night keeps our hopes for a three seed alive too, but very thin.
1) Got rid of everyone below us for simplicity's sake.
2) Need to beat South Alabama and at least split with Coastal so they don't leapfrog us. Coastal has an identical schedule of teams down the stretch so that's a real possibility.
3) Let's assume ULL continues to run the gamut for our sake and that Georgia State starts to pull away in the #2 seed.
4) Georgia Southern has a somewhat difficult schedule left, so not inconceivable that they go 2-5. Not likely though.
That loss looks particularly painful in hindsight now. With that game in hand we'd be positioned really well down the stretch. Although ULL is far and away the best team in conference right now I'd still prefer the bye over an easier bracket. With our tiebreaker over Texas St that spot looks far more achievable. Looking like South Alabama or Troy will be in #8/#9 (hopefully not us lol) and both those teams could get hot and knock off ULL. With us in #4 that would definitely be best case scenario... until next week.

Now charging - "Oh No. We suck again."
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.
