Georgia Tech or Duke..... two schools that actually schedule Home and Home arrangements with G5 schools. Either will be fun, or let’s announce both.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
There are tons of open schedules for 2025 which is still eons away. If you'd like to have a little fun speculating, check out Future Football Schedules. It's up to date enough that our 2025 ECU game has already been moved to 2023.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
Schools we are more than likely to have P5 home and homes with are going to be schools that see the benefit at the gate ala UNC and Wake. Schools who draw well, are less likely to do a true home and home (Clemson, UGA and UT).
That's my .02.

A home and home with Army would be awesome!
‘15 is right, it’s going to be someone who would benefit at the gate who will sign a H&H...money games could be anyone this far out!
My preference is either an iconic program/stadium or something I can drive to in a day. Penn State and Clemson fit that bill. UVA and S. Carolina do too. For now, we’ll wait unless someone with “Moose lips” wants to spill the beans!

Without looking who is available I’m fingers crossed for Duke or NCSU.

Florida has a lot of TBD on their schedule. Already had one big name Florida school at the Rock, sooooo. If that were to happen my father-in-law, a Gator, would finally want to go to an App game.

I'd rather host Western than Liberty. Probably the Game Cocks though.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
Wake and State already have 2 away games scheduled in 2025, so unless they reschedule, probably not one of them. Duke has 2 home and 1 away, but Sept 6th already scheduled. Georgia Tech has 2 home and 1 away with Sept 6th free. UVA only has 1 game scheduled with Sept 6th free. South Carolina only has 1 scheduled and Tennessee has none scheduled.

I'd love to see either Army or Air Force come to Boone. It would be a really spirited atmosphere, but no disrespect to them, I would think whoever they have is a bigger name.Boone Goon wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2018 11:08 pmA home and home with Army would be awesome!

That said Mr. Gillin, lets get on the horn with West Point and CO Springs!

My guess....Tennessee at Appalachian State. Played in Bristol Motor Speedway.
Would be money to both programs.
Second Guess is OHIO State or Michigan at AppState.

Western or Liberty wouldn't even be big for Gardner Webb. A pure guess would be :
1. Devils
2.Cocks
3.Vols

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
South Carolina fills their giant stadium and has 7 home games a year.
The only possible SEC schools are Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Kentucky or Missouri. These are the only ones who ever schedule at a G5.
ACC schools mostly will schedule at a G5 with the exception of VT and Clemson. Those two will not because they fill their giant stadium for 7 home games every season.

It won't be VT. Their OOC is already set got 2025. Per Moose's statement that "everyone will be happy" my guesses are WVU, Vandy, Kentucky, or another Wake series.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
Strength of schedule is what we have going for us. Some of the big boys are going to want to play away at a team that will HELP THEIR strength of schedule. CFP Strength of schedule matters to the big boys and it will give us a better chance to sign some home games with the big boys. I don't think OHIO St is going to give up their 7 home games but they are going to look for a good opponent for their OOC away game that does not hurt their strength of schedule. Same for Clemson, VT, Michigan and others. They will be looking for a win against a team that can win their G5 Conference.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023
I think everyone would be happy with an in state ACC school or ECU, but we already got ECU and UNC. That leaves Wake, Duke and NC State, but Wake and State can't unless they reschedule one of their already away games that year, which leaves Duke as the #1 option in my opinion. But I'm wrong a lot, so take it for what it's worth.
