Glad that PSU pounded Pitt. Have to say that prior to this game I had a negative perception of PSU because of the fairly recent coaching scandal but from what I saw with our game, I'm actually pulling for you guys now. Also, we home-schooled my son for a while and would take history-based road trips and went to PA and actually, unexpectedly, fell in love with the state and went up there 4 times within 7 years including the last time taking my in-laws who also loved it.getmyjive11 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 08, 2018 11:03 pmLike I said, us PSU fans saw App St as the more dangerous team.

Re: Pitt v. Penn State
I understand the negative view of PSU. It was an awful and disgusting event that was handled poorly by many people within PSU. Fortunately, those people were removed from the University within one week of the grand jury leak of the charges to Sandusky, so they have been gone for seven years now. Not much we can do but move on. Some diehard Paterno loyalists refuse to move forward which is further hurting our image, IMO. They are a small but vocal group.Rick83 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 9:42 amGlad that PSU pounded Pitt. Re: Pitt v. Penn State
I know all that had to hurt. I worked with Paterno's nephew for short period about 35 years ago. He adored that man and kept talking about all the good things he did and the way things were run at PSU, the family atmosphere, taking care of the players and extended families etc. I always wondered how he took all that bad news. I'd say PSU has moved on about as well as could be expected, maybe better than that.getmyjive11 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 4:04 pmI understand the negative view of PSU.
