LOL, radio sports talk show talking about coaching moves in early September. Weak. Find a new show.

Re: Satterfield
I don’t think it is surprising that this talk is floating around. I also heard this talk on 105.5 fm out of Greenville, SC. Really it’s a no-brainer. The big question is do the numbers work for UNC. While more recently, P5 coordinators have been selected, it is not the only way. All you have to look at Chris Peterson at Washington. I have felt that Scott is taking that approach. You can argue that we are not at the level of Bosie a few years ago..... but close enough. Scott’s consistency is very attractive.

Re: Satterfield
I’m hearing kiffin and Houston before satterfield. Satterfield is not going to unc and coach against the guys he has recruited. Not now anyway.

Satterfield and Brown each secured the services of super agent Jimmy Sexton in the offseason. Sexton’s client list features 11 of the SEC’s 14 head coaches, including Alabama’s Nick Saban, Georgia’s Kirby Smart and Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher.

Re: Satterfield
Lane Kiffin is a PERFECT fit for the culture of UNC. Perfect.
ABC. I want to beat UNC more than I've ever wanted to beat another team. When we beat them next year, all my UNC friends will certainly unfriend me. It will be a worthwhile purge.

Haha, true, but if that surprises you, you must not live in Charlotte. I miss Celania and Gary Williams.

Satt doesn't seem like the kind of guy to let money make all his decisions. Granted I don't know the guy from Adam but he seems like a true mountaineer through and through. He just strikes me as a legacy guy.

Re: Satterfield
Again...you don’t sign a high power agent if you wanted to stay at App. He will relish a challenge at a P5 program the closer to home the better. At this rate he will have FSU, Florida and UNC express interest.CheckYosef94 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 9:32 pmSatt doesn't seem like the kind of guy to let money make all his decisions. Not enough. It will be as much about the challenge as it will be money wherever he goes.

Re: Satterfield
Scott Satterfield is App State Football. Whenever someone considers another job one must decide what (Location, Job Satisfaction or Money) is most important and make your decision from there. You can usually get your #1 priority, sometimes you can get your #1and #2 priorities. However, there are very few career moves out there that give you all three. For me, when I faced a move/career change my family and I made our decision with this rank order. Hopefully, Coach Satterfield will continue to have similar priorities.
1. Location
2. Job Satisfaction
3. Money $$$
