Power 6 Conference
Watching this Ark State v Tulsa game.... has anyone seen the American Athletic Conference running their “The Power 6 Conference” commercials? They are feeling their oats. I won’t lie, I’d love to be in their conference over the SunBelt....

Re: Power 6 Conference
They have some solid teams but they have their trash too. UAB beat Tulame today. Tulsa, UCONN and SMU aren’t raising any eyebrows. The Pirates down east have been pretty poor since entering the league as well.
I don’t knock the conference for pushing the P6 narrative but the AAC fan boys make me hope they all get stomped.

Re: Power 6 Conference
As someone from Down East, North Carolina I take issue with this. Greenville has never been nor will ever be Down East. I know not many people know what actually is Down East but ill make it as simple as I can. Once you take the right at the stop light in Beaufort by East Carteret and go over the North River bridge then and only then have you entered Down East. Sorry to be off topic but we just got hammered by a hurricane and I don't want to be lumped in with Greenville...bc it's Greenville.moonshine wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 7:54 pmThey have some solid teams but they have their trash too. My response to my wife was similar after watching the commercial, I said “I hope Ark State beats Tulsa down”moonshine wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 7:54 pmThey have some solid teams but they have their trash too. Will do, but it’s been a while since I’ve been down that way. I do have a hankering for a Super Burger from El’s.

Re: Power 6 Conference
Yeah they've been using that moniker for two seasons now. It's smart as they're doing their best not to be "marginalized" with the other P5 conferences. And as I've said before it's obvious the teams in the AAC get a lot more airtime, love and exposure on the networks than the other four and frankly wish whenever the Big XII decides that they want to add to their ranks and poach that conference, the American gives us another look over as a good bullet to reload with.
I don't mind the Sunbelt but the exposure isn't there, despite our darndest to best the MAC and CUSA.

We’ll get the exposure. Win out this year. Beat UNC and USC next year and go undefeated. Starts then.
