Actually, UNCC has us beat all to hell in the concessions department. Plentiful windows, free re-fills with the purchase of their souvenier cups, ice tea... their team sucks but their gameday operations were top notch. We can learn a lot from them.AppinVA wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 9:30 amI believe he was using the sarcasm font. Until the Yosef club fully funds all our student athlete’s tuition and expenses, how can you expect to not wait in line, or get cold drinks, or edible food that you are paying for??
Those are luxuries only programs like Alabama, Clemson and UNCC should have

Re: NO ICE
That was the point. UNCC did do things right. If they can with a relatively new program how is App failing so miserably at it? Seems like we underestimate the impact of concessions on the game day experienceAppinATL wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 12:26 pmActually, UNCC has us beat all to hell in the concessions department. Re: NO ICE
I'd like to know the forensic history and numbers driving all of this. Can't be huge... and the decision is causing some rough JuJu... when it really doesn't need to. There are bigger fish to fry, rather than an ice dust up. Frankly, why wasn't that decision explained early on? If it's sustainability.. then OK... inform the fan base and those of us who donate. PR 101... get the information out there. Did I miss it someplace?

Yep! My deepest apologies! Was heading out to panthers game with son and didn’t catch sarcasm bc id had discussion with others about how better funded uncc was than APP and when I read entitled, I lost it! And I’m very sarcastic . Written words lack sarcastic intonation. Sorry again. The Rock wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 12:31 pmHave another PBR and check the batteries in your sarcasm meter dude.PBR1893-BEER-HAT-GUY wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:39 amEntitled...yep I am...I’m entitled to having a cold drink on a hot day after I paid my Yosef club dues and bought 6 season tickets and travel to away games and buy tix thru athletic department/university. Re: NO ICE
When walking in at the 203/204 entrance corridor, the door to concessions was open and I noticed several fridges stocked full of drinks. And they took up a lot of room.
After the game, I saw the fridges again and they were still 80 percent full.

Re: NO ICE
I may get out of my seat during a game maybe once per season to use the restroom or go to concessions...in 205 mid row it’s just a pita to get past everybody in the narrow rows...but yesterday, sparse crowd and all I had a good pathway out...so I bolted for one of those new pretzels...they *looked* good...but the dang line was so bad I ended up getting drinks for our group at the new side drink table, which was very fast...then went back to the seat with those...went back down about 10 minutes later, line was a little shorter but the scene was comical with the pretzels...they would take one or two cold ones out, struggle to hang them on the pretzel rotisserie racks inside the glass display then they would go around maybe once and then be taken out to be sold...cold! By the time I got up there, they didn’t even have any that had been put in the display unit so wasn’t gonna have a cold one at that point...went for the lame a** nachos which I regretted...

Re: NO ICE
Maybe that's why they charged $4.00 for a $.79 ice lemonade. But it was well worth it at the time.
