We'll cover it.....barely.
Based on the game against NMSU, App has an opportunity to win this game by 3 scores. NMSU has a FCS quality defense, so it's tough to extrapolate that side of the ball. But if Thomas can get off of his first read and push the ball downfield, App should be in good shape.
Sorta like the UL-NMSU gave us an indication of the final score on Saturday.
It did. The game was 27-10 until the onside kick and subsequent prevent defense proved inadequate for stopping the run. But if you go back and watch, New Mexico State had success running the ball and in running a lot of the same routes App likes to run.

But I also believe that Louisiana is better than Southern. They are excited to be 6-1, which makes sense. But their last three games have been against South Alabama, Texas State, and New Mexico State; Texas State and New Mexico State were away games. This sets up nicely for App, so long as the execution is there.

We held back during LaLa game and Coach even said we had been preparing for gsu for the last 2 weeks since it's a short week
Definitely, we have all been watching Satt long enough to know that was about as conservative as he could have called a game.

Yep, that double reverse pass was pretty conservative.

We were generally conservative because we wanted to run clock and keep the UL offense off the field. Also, UL did a good job keeping our passing game in check. I don't think we strategized with future games in mind.

I don’t think we had any other game in mind, but I do think Satterfield had it in his mind to get these RBs up to speed and not get into a shoot out with ULL. They were big and physical. If we shorten the game, we get out with a conservative win and a “fresher” squad who has a big game on a short week. If we do not suspect that coaches plan for circumstances like this, we are being naive. 46 runs to 20 passes.

Hey Hapapp, I got to the game late Saturday I saw you but didn’t get a chance to say hi. Regarding the play calling, I do think SS wanted to give DE lots of carries to see how he’d hold up....also to work in MW. ULL has shown they were weaker against the run so it made sense to be run heavy. I also believe that there were lots of plays both running and passing that were not used on purpose. If we could get by without showing those we would and did. While ULL is no doubt a better team with Napier at the helm, they really posed no threat of winning the game. I thought Napier did a nice job of taking away our special team play both on kickoffs and punt returns. It was very Furmanesque....

I saw a RPO I thought we were setting up but never ran the PO portion (it was wide open).

If we pass keep them off Zack, and keep fresh legs in the backfield, we'll cover.

Money line -325 to win 100
I have never bet a money line and was wondering if the VIG is included in the 325 or is it still an additional 10% meaning its really 357.50 bet to win 100? Gut says it is built in but I am not sure.

It was a nice wrinkle to give Southern something to prep for on a short week.

There is no vig built into it. You bet $100 and win, you get back $425. Moneylines are sucker bets for everything except baseball.

They beat a horrific Texas State team 15-13 and gave up 31 to NMS. They won’t stop us much if we open things up
I don't think it matters. GaSo could be 0-7 and still be dangerous when it comes to this game. Beating App is up there on their list of goals just below winning a SBC Championship and getting ranked. And I bet there are those down in Statesboro who would argue that beating us takes president over the other two.

We are an optimistic bunch, aren't we? with good reason this season.

I'm not sure I have seen anything from the Stink that scares me. I don't know why they are so optimistic either, considering they have been outplayed by two of the worst teams in the FBS and the SBC.

Unfortunately, the same was said about ULL's defense. As others have said, this will be GSU's super bowl and i do not feel great about this game. GSU has two good corners, so Zac and the WR's will need to step their game up. They have been trending in the wrong direction.
Trend continues.
