The best thing about last night was that we got to come home and they had to stay there.

I've already posted this on another thread but we've got our hotel reserved and will be at the Coastal game proudly wearing the Black & Gold and supporting our guys.
I think pre-season if someone had said we'd only have two losses at this point in the season and had gained national recognition by being ranked (even if for one week) given that we had lost our 4-year starting quarterback and key players on the O-line and key linebackers...we would have gladly accepted that.

Thank you so much for this post! I am still so proud of my Mountaineers too!! These kids work their asses off every day week in and week out. WE had a bad game. Our starting qb got knocked out on the third freaking play and lost one of our best defenders to IMO a bogus targeting call. Our young qb's came in and tried but were basically dear in the headlights. Tough game...tough loss to a really good sunbelt team. We will be fine and move forward. I still think we have a great chance of winning out and getting to and winning a bowl game. In the end thats all that counts!

Great post. Proud to be a Mountaineer as well. There were a lot of unknowns starting the season and we got a hell of a lot of respect leading up to Thursday night. Now the boys have to earn it all over again. Go App!

Thanks to those who are still keeping things in perspective. I do understand that our fan base is hurting from an ugly loss. I'm sure the team and the fans will bounce back from this loss. We still have the chance for a great season. I will ALWAYS be proud to be a Mountaineer!
