If Zach isn't game able, was wondering if Derrick or Huesman would be the best starter against your next opponent. Seems to me Hennigan needs to step it up a bit.

Really do not think hes playing, seems Satt was impressed with Heusman, even though when he was in, Southern was in a prevent defense with its starters on the sideline. So I guess no one really knows. Either way I think the game plan will be designed around what they can do not what Thomas could do.

While I expect the game plan to be run heavy I hope to God we spread it out formations wise. The last 2 games both teams have played one-on-one coverage and put 8 or 9 in the box.

Do you think that there is some conspiracy in play that is keeping Brown off the feild? There is a reason why he is not playing. Not sure what it is, but I find it interesting that we played 6 different QBs against GW and he wasn’t one of them.

I was curious of that too, considering the new redshirt rules. My guess is that he will be the QB of the future and Satt is just holding on to every ounce of elegibility. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in junk time soon to see what he is all about. But this is purely a selfish reason as a fan and there really is no need to play him.

Wow. Just read this. Sitting here at my buddies beach house doing a little early tailgating. Wow...... Definitely excited to see what he has got off there is any truth to that. I think Huesman can get the job done

He has the size and strength to be a very successful QB, but he has to have the mental aspect. He is very young, and luck, we have some depth and options at QB. It takes a while for most kids to “get” the transition from HS to college. The game is much faster than what they are used to. Just like it is a big difference between college and NFL.
I feel sure brown is still trying to learn the playbook and the speed of the college game, and he probably won’t be ready to do that this year, and it wouldn’t be fair to put him in that situation until he has some time.
It’s the same reason why very few qb’s no matter how talented they are, come in and play successful their 1st year in the NFL.
