I want my shut down corner to have an edge. I want him daring the other team's sideline to throw at him. His ego should be getting bigger based on his body of work.ASUTodd wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 10:42 amI think his ego has gotten bigger each year. I think this might be the best move for the team. Let someone who has something to prove on the field and let them do their thing. I look at players as they come on for the first time and see humility in them. Some players keep that humility, others let the success go to their head (I'll reference Ed Gainey here). I think Duck lost that humility and would eventually be a distraction. I could be way off with this but it's how I felt about him. To me, Legree was better on Defense yet kept his head and humility about him. Just my two cents. Wish Duck well.
I want my punt returner to be fearless and have some "Prime Time" in his game.
I want all of my defensive players to have an attitude.
It's not like Duck was drawing Unsportmanlike or Targeting calls. He was out there playing hard, trying to take every punt return to the house and making plays.

Maybe we could pick up Corley as WR coach. I believe he is from Salisbury....Penn State: Wide receivers coach David Corley will not return. Corley was in his first season on staff after coaching the wide receivers at Army in 2017, and was at UConn dating back to 2014 prior to that.

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
If it is the same guy that was in Boone prior to the holiday break, it’s not Corley. I’m not sure what the delay has been on the announcement of the WR coach. DG wanted to clear up something (seemingly small) with said person prior to making it official. Not sure if the holiday delayed them getting back together.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 2:27 pmMaybe we could pick up Corley as WR coach. Thanks, I was just trying to get this wild and crazy thread back on track for a page or two before dive down another rabbit hole to talk about BBQ or NFL hopefuls.appstatealum wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 3:35 pmIf it is the same guy that was in Boone prior to the holiday break, it’s not Corley. Not sure what hire is coming today. I do know that Junior Adams from WKU was the last name I heard for the WR coaching position from someone close to the program.

Another transitive property downgrade - Didn't WKU lose to L-ville who took a chunk of App's coaching staff including primary play callers. Adams was the O-Coordinator/WR coach on a team that struggled in 2018.

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Hmm, their pass offense was 70th last year so not great but not bottom of the barrel. I look at what Junior did at Boise (under Drink no less) and that excites me though.Appalachman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 4:31 pmAnother transitive property downgrade - Didn't WKU lose to L-ville who took a chunk of App's coaching staff including primary play callers. Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Also was an A-A receiver at Montana State and had coaching stops at E. Washington and Boise b4 WKU. That's pretty solid vitae stuff.Appalachman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 4:31 pmAnother transitive property downgrade - Didn't WKU lose to L-ville who took a chunk of App's coaching staff including primary play callers. If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!
