Another one bites the dust

Dorsey to Buffalo Bills as QB coach. Should be a clause to pay us for time invested.

Wonder if he ever set foot in Boone after his hire? Hope he enjoyed his stay at the Boone Trail Motel.

Frustrating, but you can’t blame a man when the NFL comes calling. This is better than choosing some FCS/D3 position coach that nobody else wants. Drink will keep hiring quality coaches until they all stick. My takeaway from today is that we’ve got ourselves another quality QB who chose US over some big name P5s. Life is still good on the mountain and The Visor will hire another strong assistant.

He did, and was very active with the kids already. His intent, it seemed, was to learn a little something here and wait for that call..... That call just came a little quicker than expected.

Boone Trail Model has been torn down.

And Dorsey was at several basketball games with Drink.

How do we teach our youth COMMITMENT when the adults who are their mentors don’t know how to honor their own COMMITMENT?

Unfortunately, in today's world, that ship has sailed. It's all about living in the moment. (Can't say I agree with it, but it's reality)

Yeah, commitment isn’t really a thing anymore, in regards to about everything. Sorry to burst your bubble. But it’s the way it is now, especially in sports.

Ambition has become more valuable than commitment in the eyes of some.

We are starting to rationalize like a FBS program. Unique to Appalachian is our "commitment to team and school." "Today, I give me all to Appalachian" is not a cliché, it is real. It means a lot. I believe our current players understand that. This carrousel is surely the wrong example.

I agree 100%. Once again, this is all about money and self advancement. Sadly, money and self is all that really matters to so many people today. Other people that were counting on you don't really matter. There is no such thing as commitment for so many. It makes me sick to my stomach. It used to be that a man's word and his hand shake meant you had a deal. You did the job you promised to do because things like a good name and a reputation for being a person of integrity and dependability meant more than money. I guess those were the good old days, and I wish they would come back.

Maybe wifey just didn't want to live in Boone and thus the switch in jobs to that paradise by Lake Erie known as Buffalo.

It sickens me also and does extend to EVERY aspect of life, even marriage.

It’s a new world, not necessarily a better one.
